1.       Heat coconut oil and apply on your hair at night. Massage for 10 minutes and apply steam for 5-10 minutes. Shampoo your hair the next morning.
2.      Heat coconut oil and mix juice of lemon in it. Apply the mixture on scalp and leave for an hour. Shampoo and condition your hair.
3.      Make a paste of some fenugreek seed which has been soaked overnight. Apply and keep for 30 minutes. Shampoo thereafter.
4.      Apply thick paste of tamarind or garlic paste and shampoo after 2 hours.
5.      Jojoba oil can be mixed with lukewarm rose water. Put it in mixer and add vitamin E oil. Wash your hair with lukewarm water and apply this solution on your hair. Leave for 5 minutes and shampoo your hair.
6.      Mix lemon juice with amla juice and apply on scalp. Leave it for an hour and shampoo.
7.      Boil tea leaves and extract the tea water through a membrane. Cool the liquid and apply as the last rinse after shampoo.
8.      Boil few neem leaves in water. Cool the liquid and apply as the last rinse after shampoo.
9.      Apply yoghurt for half an hour and wash with water.
10.   Use of tea tree oil helps in preventing dandruff.
11.    Mix paste of basil (tulsi) leaves and amla powder in water. Apply on scalp and keep it for 20 minutes and then wash your hair.
12.   Apply egg in wet hair. Massage for 5 minutes. Leave for 10 minutes and wash it.
13.   Mix 3 tsp of sandalwood oil with 1 tsp of lemon juice and apply on scalp. Wash after 2 hours.
14.   Once in a week, apply onion juice.
15.   Massage with lukewarm mustard oil at least twice a week.
Some simple tips to keep dandruff at bay:
·         Maintain hygiene and keep your hair clean.
·         Reduce intake of oily food.
·         Do not use comb of someone who has dandruff in the family. It is infectious.
·         Regularly change and keep your pillow covers clean.
·         Do not use towel and pillow of someone who has dandruff.
·         Do not leave you scalp wet for long.
·         Avoid Stress.
